Darrelle Revis has spent his entire career in the NFL wearing the No. 24, so when he was traded from the New York Jets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers we all know that he was about to pay up if he wanted to continue wearing the number. 2012 top ten pick Mark Barron wore the number during his rookie season, so he was the man Revis would have to seek out if he wanted to get his hands on the number.

And he did.

Accroding to Paul Lukas of Uni-Watch.com, Revis paid Barron $50,000 for the jersey number. Not too bad of a pay day for Barron, considering he just gave up some digits.

In the past teammates have just received some free meals, gear or even promotion for their band, but this type of money is not often associated with a simple switch of numbers. But when you are Darrelle Revis, you can afford to shell out the cash for a number that you have been associated throughout the career that has made you one of the best in the game.
