NBA Finals: Flo Rida’s Manager Blames Gregg Popovich For Ban
By Mike Dyce
We’ve seen celebrities get banned from NBA arenas before. Lil Wayne wasn’t allowed into an Oklahoma City Thunder game and just earlier this year he was asked to leave a Miami Heat game for allegedly threatening a fan. Now another South Floridian can’t watch the Heat’s quest for another Championship (yes, I know Wayne is from New Orleans, but he lives in Miami).
Flo Rida’s manager “Freezy” has apparently been banned from attending the NBA Finals and he is blaming Gregg Popovich. Cause he, ya know, has nothing more important to worry about.
On 104.3 The Ticket’s Hochman and Zaslow Show on Tuesday morning and talked about the ban.
“Nah I ain’t going to (inaudible), because they already said they were going to have me arrested and all that nonsense…” as quoted by Bleacher Report.
They asked him to explain the arrest threat.
“Yeah they won’t even let me in the building. It don’t matter where I sit. It don’t matter if I go to the top of the ceiling; they don’t want me in the building. ”
And apparently Flo Rida is standing by his man’s side and not going to the game as well.
“We ride together. None of us are going to be there for the next two games, but we ride together. ”
The process began when the NBA started sending him emails, according to Freezy, then lawyers were involved informing him he was no longer welcome in the arena.
When he asked for an explanation on the ban he says officials didn’t give him a specific reason but said he had “too much energy” and “the head coach complained about it.”
The radio show hosts tried to clarify which coach complained and Freezy cleared it up.
“Them cats want an easy win. They ain’t used to that Miami Heat support right next to them in their ear.”
But this isn’t the first time Freezy has had a run-in at a Heat game.
