NBA Trade Rumors — The Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics have come to an agreement of the terms for their trade, but it seems that ownership approval is not the only remaining hurdle to get the deal done, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Basically, what it looks like is that the two teams are making two separate deals. The first deal is the Kevin Garnett for DeAndre Jordan trade, while the second one is two first-round picks for the release of Doc Rivers. That is something that the two teams will have to somehow prove to the league.

What makes this whole thing tricky is the fact that it involves moving a head coach, which is not allowed in player trades. In return for two first-round picks, the Celtics would release Rivers and allow him to sign for another team, something he wouldn’t be able to do if he simply left, as he is still bound to a three-year contract.

This blockbuster has faced quite a few hurdles, but is close to the finish line. It will be interesting to see if it does go down.
