Coming out of the University of Florida, Aaron Hernandez had quite a few red flags. Riddled with questions about his attitude and character, the talented tight end eventually fell into the fourth round despite a vast amount of talent.

During Hernandez’s rookie season in New England, the tight end was struggling with film equipment at the New England Patriots practice facility and asked then former teammate and wide receiver Wes Welker for assistance.

Welker, now a member of the Denver Broncos, was walking by the film room when Hernandez asked for help and like most veterans do to rookies, Welker fired off a “figure it out yourself” type response. Sure, it wasn’t the most friendly thing to say but certainly nothing out of the ordinary for NFL veterans.

What was out of the ordinary though was Hernandez’s response:

Per Shalise Manza Young:

"re Welker/Hernandez interaction frm story: Hernandez’s response was “f— you Wes, I’ll f— you up!” (Globe is family friendly paper)"

Some hinted that Hernandez was simply playing around with Welker but Young made sure to mention the context was in a very serious, non-joking manner.
