The Jacksonville Jaguars have come to agreements with their first selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. On Saturday afternoon, it was announced that the team and No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel had agreed to the first-rounders rookie contract.

John Oehser, Jaguars.com Senior Writer, had the report:

Joeckel is going to play immediately on the right side of the line, while Eugene Monroe occupies the left tackle slot.

Many have criticized the Jaguars for taking a right tackle in the first-round of the draft, especially No. 2 overall, but it is a move that could pay off for the Jaguars if they allow Monroe to eventually move on.

Joeckel is one of the most NFL ready offensive linemen that we have seen in recent memory, so Jacksonville made the right choice by bringing him in. Not only will he contribute from day one, but he has the ability to one day move to the left side and be their franchise left tackle.
