After suffering a ACL injury, Minnesota Vikings Adrian Peterson had a remarkable comeback year. He rushed for over 2,000 yards and came within 10 yards of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record.

This has had other NFL players reaching out to Peterson regarding their own ACL injuries.

On Friday night’s episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon a conversation about video games revealed a secret. Peterson used the Wii to help rehabilitate his knee.

“I was able to do different ski games maybe like a month after the surgery to help kind of stabilize the knee and put that pressure on there and try to rebuild those muscles and get more power and strength in those muscles around the knee,” Peterson said.

He also added that Call of Duty is his favorite game and usually the only game that he plays. Catching himself he adds that he plays Madden as Fallon held a copy of the game with Peterson on the cover.

He added that playing golf on the Wii is a great shoulder work out as well.

When asked what his next goals were, Peterson simply responded “a couple of championships.”
