Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has some good basketball genes, of which he clearly passed down to his son.

Wade’s 10 year old boy, Zaire Wade is considered one of the top fifth grade basketball prospects in the country and…wait. Wait. Wait a damn second. They have ‘5th grade’ prospects now?!?! /throws self down stairs

Anyway, back to the story…

Wade’s son has become an internet sensation ever since his ‘mixtape’ was released and needless to say, the poor fellow fifth and sixth graders he’s playing against don’t stand much of a chance. Hell, you and I probably wouldn’t stand much of a chance – but that’s mostly because I fashion myself more of a Jason Kapono type.

You can watch mini Wade put on a show below as he tore up the field at the John Lucas Future of the Game camp in Las Vegas.

Also interesting – he’s not wearing his dad’s kicks, rather, the shoes of big Wade’s Miami Heat teammate LeBron James. Ouch.

Hopefully we don’t have to start calling Zaire a number, like his father, “3”.
