Indianapolis Colts WR LaVon Brazill Suspended Four Games
By Josh Sanchez
Luckily for the Indianapolis Colts, they have a lot of young talent at wide receiver. The depth helps the team out, because it was reported on Monday that second-year Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill has been suspended four-games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Brazill will still be able to work out with the team during training camp and participate in all of the preseason games, but he will be on the sideline for the first four games of the season.
If it weren’t for the team’s depth at the position, the loss of Brazill for the first month of the season could be a huge blow, but they will be just fine with their planned starting trio of Reggie Wayne, Darrius Heyward-Bey, and T.Y. Hilton.
Brazill was selected as a sixth-round pick in the 2012 draft and he showed a lot of potential last season during the preseason, but now he will have to wait before he can contribute again in a meaninful game.
There is no word on what the substance was that triggered the drug violation, but it won’t be long until that information begins to leak.
