NBA Trade Rumors — Paul Pierce is on the market and the Boston Celtics would much rather get something in return for their veteran forward than buy him out before the start of free agency. Cleveland Cavaliers have been connected with Pierce before, but it seems that the Milwaukee Bucks have expressed interest as well:

"The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks are among the teams that have expressed trade interest in Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce, according to sources with knowledge of the talks. But sources told ESPN.com that Pierce is most likely headed to neither one of those teams if he leaves the Celtics this week."

It seems that the Celtics want a first-round pick in return for Pierce. Boston already got the Los Angeles Clippers’ future first-round pick for the release of Doc Rivers, and are obviously looking to load up with even more picks.

However, the Celtics are also making it a priority to working with Pierce before moving him. He has been a loyal Celtic and the team wants to send him to wherever he would prefer to play, which would most likely be a team that would be ready to contend for a championship this year. As such, the Bucks is a very unlikely destination despite their interest.
