Portland Trail Blazers big man LaMarcus Aldridge is one of the best and most overlooked players in the league, but can you imagine the damage and impact that he could have if he was lined up with a player like DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers in the front court? Apparently the Trail Blazers are fantasizing about just that.

Before the news broke that former Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers would be heading to the West coast, there were talks between the Clippers and Trail Blazers that centered around Jordan.

The severity of those talks is not known, but it looks like the rumors have yet to go away.

Of course, in order for Jordan to go to Portland, the Trail Blazers would likely have to part ways with Aldridge, so any fantasy of the two players teaming up would never come true.

From ESPN’s Chad Ford:

"I think that the Blazers will listen to Aldridge offers. Seriously listen. Given how good he is, I do think there’s a solid chance he’s played his last game in a Blazers jersey. The Blazers aren’t going to give him away obviously, but he’s an intriguing trade target for a lot of teams."

The trade talks are going to continue to heat up over the next day, so be sure to stick with FanSided.com as we keep you up to date with the latest buzz from around the league.
