It is always sad to watch a talented young athlete waste their natural talents at an early age. That seems to be what we’re witnessing with Aaron Hernandez, the 23 year old tight end of the New England Patriots.

Sadder than that is that young semi-pro football player 27 year old Odin Lloyd has lost his life.

The fact that his arms aren’t through the sleeves of the t-shirt suggests that he answered the door shirtless. After being cuffed police officers grabbed a shirt and put it on over him. Standard operating procedure, you don’t let someone you’re arresting go grab a shirt because you run the risk of them grabbing something else, like a gun, or running.

ProFootballTalk suggested that reflected the attitude the police have towards Hernandez and they possibly “don’t like him for allegedly obstructing justice.” I believe it was just routine police procedure to protect themselves.

A total of 5 police vehicles arrived at Hernandez’s home. Four of them unmarked, and one police cruiser. A judge just a day earlier sealed all the documents in the case, so what was found as a result of search warrants still remain unknown.
