Of all the teams trying to move around in the draft, the Milwaukee Bucks seemed to be staying put after failing to secure a trade before the 2pm deadline. Given the events of today’s draft so far it’s not hard to believe that this pick might be on the move in the next few minutes. But the Bucks may be looking to add a young star and they could have drafted that guy tonight.

The Milwaukee Bucks selected Giannis Adektokunbo 15th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.

What the Bucks need is a real star to carry them into the future. It appears that the Bucks made Brandon Jennings available via trade right before the draft and Monta Ellis is not interested at all in coming back to Milwaukee to play ball next season.

Ellis is rumored to be heading out west to the Sacramento Kings but if the Bucks view Jennings as expendable, they’ll need a face of the franchise moving forward to help keep fans interested and to remain the contenders they were this season.

There’s no promise that Giannis Atntetokounmpo will remain with the Bucks as we’ve had plenty of trades already that have shifted picks to new teams. But if he does stay in town, which it appears he might be doing, then Giannis Atntetokounmpo is a guy the Bucks could build around or at the very least partner with one of the current stars they have on roster whenever he comes to the team.
