Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is already facing one first-degree murder charge, but police are now investigating his home and an SUV rented in his name that has been linked to a double-murder in Boston last year.

Police are back at Hernandez’s house to investigate the double-murder according to reports. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk had it first:

"Instead, WCVB reports that police have returned to the Hernandez property to investigate the unsolved double murder that occurred in Boston last July."

Per Florio once more, police have impounded a suspected vehicle involved in the shooting that left two men dead and another seriously injured—also rented in Hernandez’s name:

"From the FOX 25 report that Hernandez is being investigated in connection with an unsolved double murder that happened in July 2012 to the Boston Globe report that Odin Lloyd may have been killed because he knew about Hernandez’s involvement in the unsolved double murder to the CNN report that police have impounded a silver SUV that is believed to have been involved in the unsolved double murder and that police believe was rented to Hernandez, Thursday was another day of non-stop, negative, troubling news for the former Patriot. Now, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports more definitively that Hernandez indeed rented the now-impounded SUV."

So there you have it. There is evidence linking Hernandez to another murder. Florio and others have gone on to speculate that others involved in the recent homicide have come out against the former tight end behind closed doors. That’s all speculation at this point.

Keep it locked as we’ll have the latest on the multiple cases swirling around Hernandez.
