If you haven’t heard about Aaron Hernandez’s situation, he has been charged with murder and 5 other gun related charges. He is facing life in prison in this trial. Aaron Hernandez’s family has been relatively quiet during the proceedings until his mother, Terri Hernandez, talked to The Bristol Press.

“All I can say is that he will be cleared of all these charges in the end,” Terri told The Bristol Press on Wednesday. “Just let it play out until the end.”

What do you really expect someone’s mother to come out and say when they find out about horrendous allegations brought against your offspring? And now he is being linked to a 2012 double homicide on top of the charges he currently faces.

Other resident’s spoke about Hernandez’s situation and their shock as well.

"“It’s devastating for the family. It’s devastating for the community,” said Mayor Art Ward. “It’s a sad state of affairs.”“I feel sad for the kid and feel sad for the town because he was a hero here,” said Bill Nitz, a local resident. “A lot of people are upset that this has happened. We just have to ask ourselves what went so wrong that possessed him to destroy what he worked so hard to achieve.”“I’m absolutely shocked and very sad that they say he is involved in something so horrible like this,” said Eric Almodovar, a local resident. “We really looked up to him because he was a product of Bristol. He made me feel like anyone in this town can make it out there.”"
