There are plenty of Dwight Howard rumors going around, but perhaps the most shocking may be the fact Howard plans on potentially meeting with the Golden State Warriors.

The writing on the wall has been clear for quite some time—Howard won’t be back with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been linked primarily to the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks.

Not many had Howard going to the Warriors.

ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports via Twitter the Warriors are trying hard to get a meeting with Howard and it sounds like he’ll be willing to accommodate:

Rotoworld later elaborated on how Howard would fit with the Warriors, both financially and on the court:

"The Warriors would have to move some guys around to make room for a max deal that will be attached to Howard. If they can make it work, it does make sense on paper for the Warriors. Howard would be useful in the offensive rebounding game with all the threes Golden State hoists and he should open up the perimeter with teams double-teaming him in the paint. Be prepared for more Dwight rumors than you can handle over the next month."

Howard joining the Warriors would certainly be a twist many didn’t predict. The talent in Golden State is already there, so adding Howard somehow could put the team over the edge.

What do you think? Could the Warriors actually land Dwight Howard?
