Last night’s baseball game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals was like any other game during the season, well, except for that whole fire thing happening in the middle of the game.

During the 11th inning of last night’s tilt, people started noticing a bright glow coming from one of the light towers. It began to get a little bigger and a little brighter, then even larger and extremely bright. Then smoke started pouring out of one of the light towers. Oh crap – it’s on fire.

Being it was inside of a light tower, apparently the Nationals didn’t feel it was necessary to stop the game and both of the two teams continued on as the fire burned brightly with the team calling it a “minor technical malfunction”.

As you can see in the video, the fans are fixated on the blaze and the Washington National announcers seem genuinely concerned despite the team apparently not giving much of a damn.

Fans sitting under those lights scurried to get out of the way and nobody was hurt, thankfully.
