Free agent center Dwight Howard knows what he wants and he isn’t afraid to ask. During his meeting with the Houston Rockets early Monday morning, it is being reported that Howard was asking the team about their ability to acquire another superstar to give the Rockets a Miami Heat-style “Big Three.”

From The Houston Chronicle:

"Parsons and James Harden attended the meeting with Kevin McHale handling many of the questions about the team’s potential and how Howard would be used in a retooled offense. Yao Ming talked from China via Skype and Dikembe Mutombo made a video presentation. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey discussed not only the plans going forward, but was also asked about how the Rockets were built to position themselves to be able to offer a second max contract."

Right now, the Rockets have to focus on locking up Howard before they can bring in any other stars. Of course, the team would need to free up additional caps space which they can do by trading Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik.

Who could the third superstar be in Houston, though? That is the question that would have to be answered. Josh Smith is available, but you are using the term superstar loosely when you attach it to him.
