After pulling off a blockbuster deal that landed them two of the best players in the Eastern Conference, the Brooklyn Nets remained busy as free agency got underway and not only moved into position to sign three point specialist Kyle Korver but they also agreed to terms to re-sign forward Andray Blatche.

Before signing with the Nets again, Blatche was drawing some interest from the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. but ultimately it likely wasn’t a hard decision for Blatche to decide to re-sign with the Nets seeing as Brooklyn just became one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference after nabbing Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

His new deal with the Nets isn’t lucrative but it’s a one-year deal that will pay him $1.14 million to help bring a title to Brooklyn. He’ll play a role on the team like he did last year but he’ll be coming off the bench in 2013-14 behind Pierce and the rest of the starters. Still, Blatche isn’t the worst option to have coming off the bench and his re-signing in Brooklyn is yet another solid move the front office has made this offseason.
