The Golden State Warriors were a late entrant into the Dwight Howard sweep stakes. The race seem to be narrowed down to the Los Angles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks before they threw their hat in the ring. They had been trying to work out a sign and trade reportedly earlier today.
The Golden State Warriors were even given a chance to meet with Howard today, ahead of Dwight Howard’s meeting with the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday.
But Huffington Post columnist and NBC Sports Radio host Jordan Schultz is reporting that Dwight Howard is likely so sign with the Dallas Mavericks according to his unnamed sources.
Forget that Dwight Howard met w/Rockets first. Great source confirms Dwight Howard is likely to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Yes, it is still early in #DwightHoward talks, but I can all but confirm that Golden State is out. #Mavericks are likely to ink the deal.

Schultz then decided to defend his credibility on Twitter. Which makes you wonder why he feels the need to?
@TWSnyderman @daskins_21 I'm the guy who broke Ray Allen and Camby deals last summer

LOL yes I did break Ray Allen and Marcus Camby last summer. Not guaranteeing Dwight Howard to Mavs, but my source says it's highly likely.
