Garrett Temple is not the biggest name in NBA free agency, but he finally has a team in the Washington Wizards that is willing to sign him to a deal and keep him around.

According to J. Michael of CSN Washington, Temple and the Wizards should have a deal ironed out by the end of the week:

Why is this such big news for Temple? Rotoworld has the details:

"It must feel great for Temple to find a team which is eager to retain him. Since entering the NBA in 2009-10, he’s played for the Spurs, Kings, Rockets, Bobcats, Bucks and Wizards, in addition to three D-League teams and a team in Italy."

As you can see, Temple has had a hard time finding a home in the NBA. That seems to be over with the Wizards planning on bringing him back with a new deal.

It’s a smart move for Washington, a team seriously in need of quality depth. Temple averaged five points per game last year while playing just over 20 minutes in each contest.
