MetLife Stadium was going under some renovations and having new field turf laid down in advance of the season. Surprisingly, the crew that was on hand did quick work and they were able to change the playing surface in an unbelievably short period of time.

It took less than one week for the turf to get finished. MetLife Stadium tweeted out a photo of the completed field:

The new surface had to be laid down to improve the experience for when they host Super Bowl XLVIII this season.

What the stadium officials really have to hope for this season is that the new turf won’t be buried by snow when the NFL championship is on the line.
