The Denver Broncos front office isn’t very pleased with Director of Player Personnel Matt Russell, who was arrested and jailed over the weekend on multiple charges. According to CBS Denver, police say Russell was suspected of being involved in an accident the town of Frisco, then he crashed into a police car a few minutes later in Breckenridge.

“Any time anybody is impaired and hits a fully-marked police car that person should not have been driving in the first place,” said Colorado State Trooper Nate Reid. “It’s a dangerous profession.”

The officer involved in the accident was hospitalized with minor injuries, but he was released later in the night.

Russell was released from police custody after posting $1,000 cash bond.

The charges that Russell is facing are driving under the influence, careless driving resulting in injury, having an open container of alcohol in his car, and failure to display proof of insurance.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post has called the Broncos executes “irate” with Russell.
