And just like that, it’s over.

Earlier today we reported that Victor Cruz and the New York Giants were nearing a contract extension and now Jay Glazer is reporting the two sides have come to an agreement.

Per Fox Sports:

"Giants and Victor Cruz have agreed to terms on new 5-yr extension for $43 million on top of his 1 yr tender. Expected to sign it by tomorrow"

As Glazer points out, that deal is ON TOP of the one year tender he already signed for this season.

Earlier, ESPN reported that the Giants and Cruz had agreed to a three year, $27 million dollar deal but Glazer says that is incorrect.

The two sides have been working on the deal all Spring/Summer but decided to hammer it out with training camp fast approaching.

It’s not elite wide receiver money like Larry Fitzgerald or Calvin Johnson, but it’s darn close.

Cruz can Salsa dance himself all the way to the bank after today.
