Monta Ellis is one of the biggest names left on the free agent market now that guys like Dwight Howard have made their decision. Apparently Ellis is choosing from a large crop of teams and will make a decision in the next day or two.

The teams Ellis is picking appear to be the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats and Dallas Mavericks. Chris Broussard of ESPN broke the news on Twitter:

Apparently the interest from the Bobcats is not very serious, but it’s still there. The Kings have been attempting to dump cap space for a while now in order to bring on Ellis. Both the Hawks and Mavericks have been in the running for quite some time.

It is hard to tell where Ellis will end up, but he is an easy upgrade in all scenarios. Ellis is still an elite scoring threat that will make the team he chooses better.

It’s not a LeBron James-type decision, but play close attention anyway.
