Donovan McNabb: Ray Rice Fumbles Too Much
By Mike Dyce
NFL Network did a segment where two analysts discussed which NFL Superstar would take a step backwards in 2013. One of the analysts, Donovan McNabb chose three time Pro Bowler Ray Rice and said that he fumbles entirely too much.
“Ray Rice we know is a Pro Bowler that can make big plays for you, but he has a tendency of fumbling the ball entirely too much,” said McNabb, via the Baltimore Sun. “So expect for Bernard Pierce to really step up and be that guy.”
Now Ray Rice has fumbled 7 times (both lost and recovered) over his 5 year NFL career. In his playoff career however he has fumbled six times, including 3 times in their run to the Super Bowl earlier this year.
“You play the regular season, that’s what you get paid for,” he said. “But in the playoffs, you are building a legacy. Obviously, I want to be a guy that’s remembered for his playoff play.”
But why is Donovan McNabb talking about someone else fumbling. McNabb put the ball on the turf 95 times in his career. In 2005 McNabb started 9 games, yet fumbled 8 times.
I’m further convinced that McNabb is just bitter or angry at the NFL. Earlier he said Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford didn’t deserve his contract extension.
