Texas A&M Aggies star Johnny Manziel was sent home early from the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana on Saturday after missing some meetings with the camp staff. Many reports stated that Manziel was booted after partying it up on Friday night and sleeping through the meetings, but camp officials denied those claims and simple said Manziel was sent home for being ill (code for hungover).

A statement from the Manning Passing Academy read:

"“Johnny Manziel did participate in some activities in the 2013 Manning Passing Academy as a college counselor/coach. After missing and being late for practice assignments, Johnny explained that he had been feeling ill. Consequently, we agreed that it was in everyone’s best interest for him to go home a day early.”"

If Manziel really was feeling ill, he recovered pretty quickly.

On Saturday night after leaving the camp he returned to College Station where he reportedly partied it up once again at College Station’s bar strip, Northgate.

The good news for Manziel is that in a matter of weeks the attention will turn to the football field. If he can put together another season like his redshirt freshman campaign and prove that he is focused on football, all will be forgotten.
