The Los Angeles Lakers could have an emerging star on their hands in Nick Young. They’re already planning on him having a great deal of playing time next season. And with that playing time could come highlights like we’ve seen at the Drew League.

The first one isn’t the most impressive dunk we’ve seen come out of the Drew League this summer. He drives into the paint, elevates and dunks it.

The second one is similar, except he’s coming from the side and is contested. It certainly doesn’t top DeMar DeRozan’s dunks and alley-oop to himself, or The Game’s alley-oop to James Harden.

Pro Basketball Talk says: You’re going to get some big scoring nights and your going to get some “nights of the contested jumper,” but you will get highlights.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Nick Young to a one year deal with a player option for the second year. He’ll get $1.1 million this year, and should he take that option he’ll make $1.2 million in his second year. The Lakers could use Young to cover for Kobe Bryant while he rehabs and recovers from an achilles injury and possibly use him at small forward once Bryant returns.
