Tim Tebow was teammates with Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Spikes at the University of Florida. Tom Brady played with Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Spikes at New England.

Tim Tebow and Tom Brady squared off twice before they became teammates in New England. The first time came at the height of Tebowmania in December 2011, while Tebow was still leading the Broncos on that miraculous run.

That match up had Tim Tebow mic’d up and in a NFL Films “Sound FX” clip you can hear the following conversation between Tom Brady and Tim Tebow after the game.

“I’m trying to watch over Aaron and Brandon,” Brady says to Tebow in an NFL Films video, via the Orlando Sentinel.

“I appreciate that, too, man. They’re good guys,” Tebow says in response.

“[T]hey’re a lot to handle,” Brady adds.

It’s just more hindsight is 20/20 news that has come out about Hernandez. It certainly doesn’t implicate him in anything like this. But it definitely maybe questions the Hernandez “duped us” theory that Patriots owner Robert Kraft tossed out earlier.
