The Arizona Cardinals had a horrendous quarterback situation last season. They started 4 different quarterbacks over the 2012 season, including one they signed in December. It’s basically been horrible since Kurt Warner left.

He has been left wondering what things could’ve been like with better quarterback play while admitting that the 2012 season was the most frustrating of his career. But he is looking forward to 2013 and think the Cardinals have solved that problem with Carson Palmer.

“Now we have a guy that’s been proved, he threw for 4,000 yards in Oakland last year. He can make all the throws, he’s capable of running this offense and us being able to compete in the NFC West,” Fitzgerald said on Sirius XM NFL Radio. “I’m fortunate to be in the position I’m in now. Now it’s up to me to go out and make plays when I get the opportunities.”

Fitzgerald and Palmer have spent a lot of time working out together this summer as well. If Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals don’t perform in 2013 there isn’t a quarterback fiasco to blame their failures on. But Palmer and Fitzgerald certainly appear to be an interesting duo. Palmer was very successful throwing the ball to Chad Ochocinco and Larry Fitzgerald is a better wide receiver than him.
