Rappers want to be ballplayers. Ballplayers want to be rappers.

It makes the world go around and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has decided to make his contribution towards the effort. He also enlisted the assistance of rap legend Snoop Dogg, who lent his services to both a verse and the hook of the song.

The “Diamonds on my Neck” track certainly brings with it some heavyweights as in addition to the one time Death Row legend featuring, the track is also produced by L.T. Hutton but neither can save Jackson’s incredibly sub-par flow. Granted, it’s better than the vast majority of athlete’s who try to rock the mic and honestly, it’s better than some of the crap rappers on the scene now – but that’s not saying much.

More sad than the song though may be how far Snoop has fallen. It was strange enough to see LBC’s pride and joy on a track with Katy Perry, but now this? Among his other collaborations?

2Pac is rolling in his grave.
