As the Dallas Cowboys continue to search for offensive line help, they plan on signing free agent tackle Demetress Bell for some additional depth in camp. The two sides have reportedly agreed to a deal that is pending a physical. The former seventh-round pick has played with the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills during his short career that has included 35 starts.

The report comes from ESPN Dallas.

Bell, 6-foot-5, 311 pounds, will allow the Cowboys some much needed depth and flexibility. He will have the ability to play at either tackle spot in the back up role, but he adds the skill to serve as a spot starter if one of the team’s top two tackles go down with an injury.

One thing to watch out for is Bell impressing the team in training camp and allowing them to part ways with Doug Free, who’s contract is still pretty steep, via trade.

Bell is also the son of former NBA star Karl Malone.
