Tampa Bay Buccaneers Trade Eric Wright to San Francisco 49ers
By Josh Sanchez
Well, here is a report that has come out of nowhere. Just a few hours after the Tampa Bay Times passed along their belief that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would start Eric Wright opposite offseason acquisition Darrelle Revis and that rookie Johnthan Banks would serve as the team’s slot receiver.
However, that has all changed really fast.
A report surfaced on Friday afternoon that the Buccaneers have decided to trade the cornerback to the San Francisco 49ers.
From NFL reporter Josina Anderson:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have also confirmed the news.
For the 49ers, it is another talented addition to their secondary as they attempt to gear up for another deep postseason run.
Wright has had some off-field troubles, but he has plenty of talent and has real star potential. The 49ers always find a way to add talented players without much risk and this is just the latest example.
What are your thoughts on the Wright trade?
