According to Ryan O’Halloran (Jaguars write for Florida Times), Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell says Justin Blackmon could be limited at the start of training camp, but probably not on PUP list.

The 23 year old wide receiver underwent groin surgery last month and was limited throughout OTAs and mini camp. The Jacksonville Jaguars will more than likely bring him along slowly due to the fact that he is already facing suspension.

He will miss the first 4 games of the season due to violating the leagues substance abuse policy. It was Blackmon’s 3rd substance related incident in less than 3 years, so you figured he would have learned the first time, nope.

The young wide receiver has gotten himself in trouble a handful of times and if it continues, it could possibly cost him his job. As the future of this organization, things need to be cleaned up when it comes to how he acts away from the field. Something he could work on while he is recovering.

Blackmon is eligible to practice with the team and play in preseason games.
