So Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun have become friends as faces of their respective franchises in Wisconsin. So naturally when Ryan Braun initially fell under suspicion of PED use in 2012, Aaron Rodgers defended him.

Fast forward 17 months and Ryan Braun has been suspended for an entire season for using PEDs and subsequently being caught for his association with the Miami based Biogenesis clinic. In a statement apologizing he admits using PEDs and acknowledged his guilt.

Wait… Rewind back 17 months…

Ah yes, there it is. Aaron Rodgers foolishly putting his money where his mouth is and betting his salary on his innocence. Todd Sutton though is apparently on vacation and hasn’t taken time to gloat over his victory in their brief exchange.

I doubt Rodgers pays up, and I doubt Sutton goes after it. But you’ll always be that man who won a bet with Aaron Rodgers. I bet he’d settle for some tickets and autographed memorabilia.

Aaron Rodgers salary for 2013 is $4.5 million, not as high as you’d expect after signed a seven year $130.75 million contract.
