Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett seems like an interesting character. There’s the time he asked out Katherine Webb on Twitter, the time he spat on Kerry Rhodes, and his recent acquisition of Bane’s headgear. If I were to throw a party, Dockett would certainly be the first defensive tackle I’d invite.

Dockett made headlines again on Wednesday when he revealed in a radio interview that he’d purchased a 60-pound tiger cub and named it Little Buddy. Docket said he hoped to bring the cub to training camp (though was unsure if that was allowed) and described the cat as “very chill and playful.”

Dockett also said he wanted to buy a monkey (because obviously one exotic animal is not enough if you’re trying to do a live-action recreation of The Jungle Book):

"The dude would not sell it. I offered him a price that the only other person who would offer him that much is probably Michael Jackson, rest in peace, but he wouldn’t even entertain my offer when it came to the monkey.Could you picture that on game days? I’m coming to the game, I have my monkey with me, he has my jersey on. … Think about it. After the game, the fans see me with the monkey, ticket sales go up, Dockett jersey sales go up. Why? Because they all want to see me with the monkey."

There’s no news yet as to if Dwayne Harris has requested to borrow Little Buddy for workout purposes.
