Shaquille O’Neal has reportedly offered to help troubled young center DeMarcus Cousins become the best big man in the NBA. While Cousins’ attitude problems have been well-documented, he is not opposed to working with one of the most dominant players to ever play the game. However, he hasn’t heard directly from Shaq.

"“I have not heard from Shaq at all,” Cousins said. “Not a tweet, DM (direct message), nothing.”“I would be open to it,” Cousins said. “But I have not heard from him.”(via Sacramento Bee)"

Cousins, who is working together with other young NBA studs at the Team USA minicamp, obviously wants to be a better player and thinks that Shaq has a thing or two to teach him.

As far as versatility on the offensive end goes, Cousins probably has more talent than O’Neal, but a lot of his skills need to be refined. Shaq made his bread and butter by backing down his opponents in the low post and either dunking on them or finding open shooters out of double teams. It’s questionable how effective Shaq can be as a teacher, but few centers have had as much success as O’Neal enjoyed in his career. Someone should probably arrange for the two guys to meet.
