The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new coach in Gus Bradley who is hoping to do what something near miraculous. Take the Jaguars out of the cellar and make them into contenders in the AFC south. It’s a tall order in a division with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.
“We have a saying in our locker room,” Bradley told The Florida Times-Union. “I preached it to our players. I believe the three most dangerous words in the NFL are, ‘I got it,’ and we stay away from those words. I want our players, our coaches and the whole organization to have the mindset that ‘we ain’t ever got it,’ and we’re going to compete in everything that we do.”
Added Bradley: “We want to be smart during training camp. We’re going to be aggressive. It’s going to be uncomfortable.”
Maybe making things uncomfortable will make the players and team elevate their play to become comfortable. But to turn around a struggling franchise like the Jaguars you need a more radical, aggressive and uncomfortable approach. The team could benefit from being shook up a little bit.
He was with the Seattle Seahawks during an incredible turn around and run last season. He could bring some of that magic to north Florida.
