The Cincinnati Bengals and their fans received a near heart attack on Thursday whenever star wide receiver A.J. Green fell to the ground in obvious pain after chasing a pass from Andy Dalton out of bounds. Green was attended to by the medical staff before being helped off of the field. While there was some initial concern, everyone can now breathe a collective sigh of relief.

It looked like good news for the team, because there was no noticeable limp for Green as he was leaving the practice field, and today it was confirmed that he will be just fine moving forward.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis announced that Green has suffered a knee bruise and that he should be ready to return next week.

Losing Green would have been a devastating blow for the Bengals offense as they look to compete for the AFC North crown this season.
