Last year, it was clear that Darren McFadden was like a fish out of water in Oakland’s zone-blocking mess and the coaches have corrected it.

"“We ran the football well, the offensive line did a nice job, the backs did an excellt job of being able to run the football. That’s something we going to have to be able to do. Darren’s one of our most explosive players and we’ve got to put him in position so that he can have success.” Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said in an interview."

An according to Darren McFadden, he seems pretty happy about this years offensive scheme.

"“I love a downhill scheme, so i’m very confident about it. I’ll just be able to get out there and go downhill. That’s one of my strong points. It feels great (he said about coaches will will cater to his talents). I feel like I’m a downhill runner and that’s something the coaches see also. By getting us in a gap scheme offense, they feel that suits me a lot more.” McFadden said in an interview with Contra Costa Times"

It’s a good thing that McFadden is confident in Oakland’s new offensive scheme and that head coach believes that McFadden can have success.
