Bad news continues to pour out of training camps all around the league and the latest team to be hit by the injury bug was the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. During the Ravens Saturday practice, tight end Dennis Pitta had a vicious collision that caused him to go down with an injury that required plenty of medical attention.

Eventually, Pitta was carted off of the field.

From Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun:

Pitta is an important part of the Ravens offense and it is crucial to have him healthy after he emerged as a serious threat this past season and in the playoffs.

If Pitta is forced to miss significant time, Ed Dickson would finally need to step up.

Baltimore is clearly hoping that the injury is not sever, but an update will surely be coming soon.
