Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley expressed some frustration with hopeful starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Now I say hopeful, because from the sounds of things, it may be Chad Henne who gets the starting job. Gabbert’s first 3 plays supposedly went down in this order, ready? Alright, takes the snap, nearly botches hand off, takes the snap, fumbles the quarterback-center exchange, takes the snap, runs into his left guard Will Rackley to force another fumble.

He later put the ball on the ground again as he tried to pump-fake. Yes, Gabbert fumbled trying to pump fake, also bobbled a shot gun snap.

"“It’s not acceptable. We don’t like it and we’re not going to tolerate it.” said head coach Gus Bradley"

Gabbert finished Saturday’s practice going 18-30 passing with an interception. While Chad Henne completed 19 of 24 passes. It would be crazy if the Jaguars just handed Gabbert the starting job without letting Henne actually compete.

It’s obvious they need to pick the 5 year veteran over the young Gabbert. Let him sit on the bench and make him want to do things right, players will make mistakes, but if you want to be a starting quarterback in this league, you can’t afford to make those mistakes, especially during practice.
