The Oakland Raiders could be an absolute trainwreck this season and it all starts at the quarterback position. While the entire roster leaves plenty to be desired, the quarterback situation is a mess and that showed on the first day of training camp.

Matt Flynn looked like the team’s best quarterback by far, as Terrelle Pryor continued to struggle and look like a competent NFL quarterback. It got worse for the Raiders. Rookie signal-caller Tyler Wilson put off a terrible performance of his own by opening the first practice with three interceptions in a span of four throws.

Flynn was the only quarterback that looked capable of taking the NFL field at this time, and that is worrisome because he is a player best suited for a back up role.

While the Raiders front office is doing everything that they can to turn things around, they will first have to suffer through a painful season with very little talent on their roster and a back up quarterback leading the offense.

It’s going to be a very long 17 weeks in Oakland.
