According to Marc Stein on Twitter, the Memphis Grizzlies are now firmly in the mix to sign Mo Williams, whom the Utah Jazz and Miami Heat have also expressed interest in signing.

There are no any starting point guard jobs available for any of these teams, unless Utah starts him while Trey Burke adapts to the NBA.

Mark Stein writes that it’s still hard to pinpoint a front runner as Williams continues to weigh his options. The Grizzlies currently have Jerryd Bayless and former Miami Heat SF/SG Mike Miller spreading the court in their 2nd unit.

But they could always use more help after making and attempting the fewest 3 pointers of any team in the league last season.

What’s dangerous right now for the Grizzlies, is that the Heat are indeed interested. Who would turn down the chance to win a championship, having a team lead by LeBron James and Dwayne Wade?

They managed to talk Ray Allen to leave the Boston Celtics to go to Miami, who helped them in the NBA Finals to win back-to-back NBA Championships.
