Veteran center Marcus Camby was traded to the Toronto Raptors as a part of the deal that sent Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks. Camby was less than thrilled to be part of a rebuilding process as he neared the end of his career, so it was welcomed news when the Raptors bought out his contract.

Now, the reliable big man is a free agent and there have been teams lining up and showing interest and two teams are beginning to emerge as front-runners to land Camby — the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls.

From Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida:

The Heat are showing less interest in Camby because they have emerged as the clear front-runner to land Greg Oden.

While the Rockets and Bulls are both named as the leaders in the Camby race, Houston appears to have a leg up after already bringing the center in for a physical that he passed.

For Camby, he would give either team a solid frontcourt guy to bring in off the bench as he looks to end his career with a title contender. Both Houston and Chicago will give him a great chance of making on last run.
