Earlier today, it was reported that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was carted off the practice field with some form of a knee/leg injury. Maclin was reportedly down on the ground for a good five minutes before he was removed  and now the speedy wideout fears he has torn his ACL.

Per Jordan Raanan:

"I’m hearing #eagles WR Jeremy Maclin believes it is an ACL tear. Tough break for Eagles and WR on last year of deal. #TrainingCamp"

It would be a devastating blow to both the Eagles and Maclin personally, who as Raanan mentions is in the final year of his contract.

Maclin is expected to undergo an MRI shortly and the results should be known at some point tomorrow.

This wouldn’t be the first time the wide receiver has torn his ACL as he suffered the debilitating injury in college, so he’s well aware of the feeling which makes his premonition even more frighting.

If Maclin is out for the season, Riley Cooper would be expected to take over the X receiver routes.
