The Golden State Warriors are looking to build a new arena for a team that is quickly becoming a contender thanks to the likes of Stephen Curry and others.

However, the price for a new arena could come in at a jaw dropping $1 billion—or more.

KCBS San Fransisco has the reasoning:

"“The piers were built in a series of stages. They were not all built at the same time, so there’s a lot different components that make up the 13-acre site,” he said.“Right now it’s falling into the Bay. A lot of work has to be done to bring it back to a state where we can actually have a place that people can enjoy.”"

The report goes on to state that just rehabbing the area to even begin construction would cost in the neighborhood of $120 million. How and where the team is going to come up with that kind of money is unknown.

The team does not seem to have an issue with the costs, which is good news for the fans unless they end up paying the bill.
