We all know the New England Patriots love cameras and filming practices, now they’ll strap helmets to their quarterbacks and record practice. We saw the Dallas Cowboys do this with DeMarco Murray recently.

Unlike with Murray however, there is more that can come out of a quarterback wearing the camera. It provides the coaches with a perspective of the players and can bring valuable insight to what a quarterback is seeing as he works through his pre-snap and post-snap progressions.

“It’s something we haven’t done before, so we’ll take a look at it and see how effective it is or what we can get out of it,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said, via NFL.com. “I’m not sure exactly how effective that will or won’t be, but it’s something we’re trying that’s a little bit new. We’ll see how it goes.

So this has to be for Tim Tebow right?

Wrong.

They’re even putting one on Tom Brady’s helmet. It seems unneccesary to do with a quarterback who has led you to the Super Bowl 5 times and won 3 of them. Not to mention set numerous passing records, been a All-Pro multiple times and won 2 MVP awards for the regular season and 2 for Super Bowls.
