The big story for the Dallas Cowboys early in training camp has been the multiple injuries along the defensive line that have delivered a serious blow to the team’s depth. Starters Jay Ratliff and Anthony Spencer were hampered by minor injuries, while back up defensive end Tyrone Crawford was lost for the season.

Most recently, defensive end Cameron Sheffield suffered a groin injury that will keep him out for a few weeks, while defensive tackle Ike Igbinosun suffered an ankle injury.

With the injuries piling up, the Cowboys brought in a number of players for work outs as they look to rebuild their depth along the d-line.

The defensive lineman working out for the Cowboys were linebacker/defensive end Eric Bakhtiari, defensive tackle Toby Jackson and defensive tackle Bobby Skinner. The team also worked out guard Rokevious Watkins, who was recently released by the St. Louis Rams after showing up to training camp overweight.

While none of these players will make a big impact on the field during the season, they are camp bodies in the trenches and that is something that the Cowboys desperately need.
