The New Orleans Saints are hoping that running back Mark Ingram has a big season. In fact, head coach Sean Payton has said he has “high expectations” for Ingram.

“I know we have high expectations for Mark and he has high expectations for himself,” Saints coach Sean Payton said, via Pro Football Talk.” He is in great shape right now.  I know he is anxious, . . . healthy, and probably I would say going into his third year as healthy and as good of shape as he has been.  I expect him to be a big part of what we do running the football.”

Well some how in practice he busted open linebacker Jonathan Vilma’s nose. The nose apparently needed stitches and Vilma was limited in practice today according to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

A physical running back could change the Saints running game drastically. Hopefully he didn’t lead with the crown of his helmet, that could lead to penalties and possibly big fines in the upcoming season.

Now, where does Ingram collect a check from Brett Favre for the bounty on Vilma?
