It is bad news for the Seattle Seahawks on the Percy Harvin front. Harvin received a second opinion on the slight tear in his hip labrum and everyone was quiet until Harvin spoke out on Twitter and reported that he would need surgery to repair the injury.

Harvin tweeted out the news on Tuesday night:

This is awfully horrible news for Harvin, who could now be out until Thanksgiving or December at the earliest. We will learn an exact timeline for his return when the team releases an official statement on the injury.

Seattle was hoping that Harvin would provide a boost to the passing game as they look to have a more well-rounded attack, but they will need to wait a while until Harvin is able to take the field.
